New Monthly Workshops on Compassion Bon Secours Launching Monthly Workshops on Compassion There is no gift in the Christian tradition more reflective of the presence and action of God in our world than the gift of Compassion. "Bon Secours' service is first and foremost a service of being with and doing for those in need: compassion is about deeds - about doing - about the active relief of the suffering of others." It is compassion that stimulates action for justice, love that acts to relieve the suffering of others. |

Joyce Rupp Returning in April with Institute of Compassionate Presence Sister Joyce Rupp will return to Bon Secours to lead a week-long program at Bon Secours Spiritual Center from April 26-30, 2010, in cooperation with the Institute of Compassionate Presence (ICP) Program from the Servite Center of Compassion in Omaha, Neb. |

Living the Charism of the Sisters Consider Your Call as an Associate Member: When the Sisters of Bon Secours offered Associate membership to persons interested in sharing their ministry in a more active way, they knew they were developing a program that was both risky and different. Risky because this was not a health care program. Different because they were inviting laypeople and clergy, Catholic and non-Catholic, to accept the call to live the Bon Secours charism outside of canonical community. |

“Keep Up the Spirit Days” The Bon Secours Spiritual Center staff initiated two new care programs this past summer for people needing special personal and spiritual support. "Care for the Caregivers" respite sessions and "Keep Up the Spirit Days" are all held regularly and available at no charge for participants at the Spiritual Center.(read more...) |
